Source Media Workflowprovides us with the original file formats to grade on a shot-by-shot basis. We recommend this option for most projects.

Flat Pass Workflow renders out your entire project as a single flat, log-encoded file to send us. While this can limit grading options, it’s a good choice for projects with simple needs or very fast turnarounds.

We recommend using a hard drive for projects utilizing the Source Media Workflow, as the quantity and size of files typically involved will take too long to upload and download from a file sharing platform.

Projects choosing the Flat Pass Workflow can often upload the file(s) needed to a file sharing platform without any issues.

We’ll turn in your project’s deliverables on the same hard drive you sent with the project files - space permitting! We use Colorlab’s calculator to estimate file sizes; you can use it to get a ballpark of the space needed or contact us to discuss options.

We prefer exFAT formatted hard drives, but don’t worry if you’re already formatted for Mac - we can read those too!

All project files and media from a color grade will be kept in-studio for six months following delivery just in case any changes need to be made. We do not maintain long-term archives of projects.
